The project POLYCAT – Pearly Cat Session” began with a conversation with the band. We felt it would be great to create some movement before releasing the new album. That’s when the idea of doing a Live Session came up letting people experience the new songs first in their live form. It felt like an interesting twist: releasing the music as a live performance before the studio master version.

The concept of the project grew out of the musical identity of the band itself. We wanted the visuals and atmosphere to reflect that direction, so we leaned into a 1990s–2000s aesthetic something industrial, warehouse-like, reminiscent of old film studios. Lighting played a crucial role in shaping the space, giving the visuals depth and texture.

For this project, I oversaw the entire process from the creative direction to the final output. My workflow began with presenting the core ideas and visual references that I envisioned for the piece. From there, I selected the location and personally conducted the location scouting. I then briefed the camera and lighting teams, communicating the overall vision and technical requirements. Lighting equipment was also intentionally incorporated as part of the visual scene itself.

It was a project that was both exciting and challenging to bring to life.
